Zimmermann and Nili Lotan Sweater Season Look for Fall
It is officially Sweater Season! I have such mixed feelings about Fall this year – as much as I love the cozy fireplaces/pumpkin spice lattes/apple cider and donuts, to me Fall also means that Winter is not far away – with its shorter days, freezing cold nights and just general lack of time spent outside.
On a positive note, I do love that time when it just starts to get cold enough to wear a sweater but you still don’t need to layer it under a heavy jacket – and I live for those days (and looks).
For today’s post, I styled a look that’s easy and chic – with two of my favorite designers – and used cozy knits & textures to create a feeling of warmth and dimension.
Here are the exact ingredients to this outfit formula, and how I styled it:
- The Flirty Skirt. Another Zimmermann piece I’m obsessed with, this Aqua Mixed Rhythm Trimmed Mini Skirt is absolutely dreamy! It has the most gorgeous design that moves as you move – and the fabric is heavier so it can carry into the Winter. It has some shiny thread in it (perfect for Holiday outfits) and is both dressy and casual at the same time. It sits very high on the waist, and I would say the fit is kind of between sizes – so I think I would recommend sizing up for more comfort.
- A Plush Saint Laurent Bag. I love how luxurious the fabric of this Puffer Tweed Saint Laurent Bag is – it’s ideal for Fall/Winter!
- The Most Cozy Sweater. Cable knit sweaters are synonymous with Fall comfort and this Nili Lotan Jodelle Crewneck is scrumptiously comfy and warm. It will pair just as well with jeans or slacks/leather leggings/pants. I think it’s a Seasonal classic. This one is a bit on the pricey side, but I found a few similar at more approachable price points – see the carousel below.
- Neutral Booties with High Heels. I’ve worn these Coclico Link Booties with a myriad of looks – and have more coming to the blog soon as they’re just so versatile and the color and heel height are perfect for someone my height (I’m 5’1″) as it elongates and pairs well with pants, skirts or dresses of different lengths. I previously styled them with a maxi (see here) and jeans (see here). They complete this look nicely as well! Unfortunately, being an older style, they’re completely sold out online and in store – but I did find a few similar styles from the brand – you can check them out via the links below!
I hope this inspires you to try out a similar outfit this Fall! As always, please feel free to share the outfits you create via Instagram, using hashtag #ModnitsaOutfit in your posts, and I’ll be sure repost them on my stories!
