Happy almost Summer! With the 80-90 degree weather here in NYC it sure has been feeling like it. I can’t say the Summer is my favorite season even though I do prefer the warmth to cold – I think that it might be the humidity and still air that gets me and makes the still weather hard to enjoy. Nevertheless, I do love pulling out all my lightweight dresses, tops and shorts – as it always feels like such a weight lifted off my shoulders (quite literally!) when the jackets are retired for the Season.

My favorite things to wear in the Summer are long, flowy dresses with oversized bags, so for today’s look, I styled a closet favorite – a Loveshackfancy Adrienne Dress with the Cult Gaia Bamboo Tote. This outfit was perfectly accessorized by a foamy sunset on my favorite beach.

The exact ingredients of this outfit formula are:

1. A Flowy Dress. I love the romance that Loveshackfancy captures with their dresses – from long to short, and when I styled one of my clients in this Adrienne Dress a few years ago, I knew I had to own it too. Hers was yellow (my favorite color) – which I loved, but for me, I chose it in a light rose pink. I think it’s so feminine and fresh. It can also be worn unbuttoned as a long flowy cardigan with shorts and tee underneath, or even as a bathing suit coverup – endless styling options!
   
2. A Beachy Bag. I styled this Cult Gaia Fan Arc Scarf-Trimmed Bamboo Tote with another look recently and loved how it paired with the Adrienne dress in this ensemble. It’s versatile and super easy to wear with any and all Summer looks.
   
3. A Woven Rattan Belt. This Kennedy Belt from the Caitlin Covington x Pink Lily Collection is a great Summer wardrobe addition! It’s so flattering and light-weight – and nicely defines the waist without adding too much fuss to the outfit. Oh, and it’s super affordable – and still in stock! 4. A Pair of Cat-eye Sunglasses. These Chloe Sunglasses honestly don’t leave my face when it’s Summer-time. I think they are so classic and chic!
