Happy mid-June, and the official start to Summertime! The days are still getting longer and the sun is higher – making me excited for all the bright days ahead!

As I always tell my clients, the colors we wear and those that surround us are great at projecting and enhancing the energies around us, and can be amazing ways of filling our lives with and attracting that which we crave most of. The best example is the color “yellow” – which is my favorite color to wear, and to introduce my clients to during our Color Analysis Sessions. It opens up the energy of positivity, sunshine, optimism – and others respond to it on a subconscious level.

I like wearing yellow all year long – but it’s even more present in my wardrobe in the Summer-time. I prefer the “mellow yellow” as I call it for Summer – as it resonates with the lazy, relaxed and sun-drenched energy of the Season. I built this outfit around my newest yellow wardrobe addition – the LoveshackFancy Natasha Dress.

Here are the exact ingredients to this outfit formula:

1. The Yellow Dress. I’ve loved the Natasha Ruffled Cotton Mini Dress silhouette for the longest time – but never found a color that really spoke to me in the ones they offered. The white is a little too strong for me, while the pink is a bit too girly. So when I saw it in this “lemon drop” yellow – I knew it was the one. I found it in a few stores in limited sizing – definitely check it out in the carousel below before they’re gone!
   
2. A Rattan Bag. I’ve said it before – Cult Gaia makes some of the BEST Summer bags! They’re intricate and detailed – but not overly expensive. This Yasmina Bag is gorgeous – it’s sold out in the natural color that I styled, but I found it in black.
   
3. The Denim Jacket. I love throwing a slightly oversized denim jacket over mini dresses – it always makes the outfit feel chic and casual. I wear my Levi’s Ex-Boyfriend Trucker Jacket ALL THE TIME and highly recommend adding it to your wardrobe if you’re looking for that classic 80’s vibe. It doesn’t break the bank either! (I found it for under $50 in some of the washes!)
   
4. The Bow Slides. I’ve styled these Margaux x Gal Meets Glam Mules in a million different ways over the course of the last year so I’d say they’re some of my most worn shoes. They add a touch of feminine cuteness to this look – but I also wear them with jeans, skirts, and even lounge pants/leggings. This particular design is sold out but they have some amazing new options (with or without bow) – see in the carousel below!
