As Summer rolls into full swing, I’m always looking for outfits for myself and my clients that are both heat-friendly and dressy enough to transition from daytime to evening, and this Season, the cutout dresses have really been catching my eye as they fill those two needs nicely. “Cutouts” are a trend that isn’t for every person’s style – but I think if managed tastefully, they can add a nice “spice” to an outfit.

I chose to style this Veronica Beard Iker Puffed Sleeve Dress with very subtle side cutouts (now on sale!) in a gorgeous “vivid orchid” color, pairing it with an Alice & Olivia Yuriko Shawl Collar Blazer in “powder blue”, accessorizing the look with the Fendi Sunshine Mini Leather Shopper in “cyber blue” (color is sadly sold out at Saks, but I tagged it in a similar color in the pic below). I completed the look with my favorite espadrille sandals by Castañer that I feel like add multiple inches to my legs, my go-to Chloe sunnies and Rebecca De Ravenel Caspia Small Fish Earrings. I found a few similar earrings too – see below!

The look feels fresh, youthful and current – while having a little dimension through the accessories. The dress can totally stand alone too – and be worn with sneakers or flats for more of a “running around” look.
