Little know fact about me: I studied French for about 15 years between school and college. I even had this dream of moving to Paris (but then I met my husband and love and life intervened 😉 ) I’ve always been drawn to the French culture, language and way of life — the effortless chic that seems to emanate from everything — from their croissant & cafe au lait breakfasts, to beautiful stylish women sitting in outdoor cafes and chatting about life. When we lived in Russia, my sister and I were addicted to a French sit-com “Hélène et Les Garçons” about a group of French college students, living in Paris, full of romance that the city and life have to offer. It was really cute, and inspiring (and voiced-over in Russian — so you could hear the French underneath, which was great practice). Even at that point, when I had no idea that I’d be a NYC stylist when I “grow up”, I admired the fashionable way the girls in the show dressed — making even the simplest pair of jeans and sweater look sexy, fun and feminine.

Fast-forward about 25 years, living in NYC now I recently discovered Sézane, which basically embodies the “Parisian girl” spirit that I was so drawn to many years ago. Their NYC store opened about a year ago, but having been busy & away for the past few months, I finally checked it out for the first time last week — when me and Charlie made our way down there.
