Easy & Comfortable Winter Outfit Formula
Happy February! Can’t believe how fast January sped by with all the weeks blending into each other with taking care of Charlie during the week, working with my clients on Fridays, and traveling in the last week. And now we’re 1/2 way done with Winter (I hope!) — at least if we believe Punxsutawney Phil 😉
With a few more weeks of Winter still ahead of us, I wanted to share another simple, comfortable and fun outfit formula that I’ve been wearing on repeat — it’s easy to recreate from your closet if you have the following ingredients: leather jacket, leggings, hiker boots/booties and a turtleneck sweater + roomy and classic handbag. I think all of the items mentioned above are wardrobe must-haves, no matter what your age or occupation are as they are great building blocks to casual looks, and transition well throughout the Seasons.
To fill the ingredients of this formula, I chose my favorite cozy gray turtleneck sweater by & Other Stories and paired it with my Spanx Velvet Leggings that I’ve been living in the past few months. Because the sweater is super warm, I can layer it with a leather jacket and go out in 30-40 degree weather and not freeze (I still prefer to wear a warmer jacket when it’s that cold – but the point is that layers do work and are a good way to dress for transitional weather).
The leather jacket I layered for this look is the Lamarque Kiyoshi Moto from Anthropologie; it’s light brown, which is a nice neutral color that pairs well with almost everything. This jacket is from last Spring, but I found some similar ones and included them in the carousel below.
To accessorize the look, I wore Cecilia Hiker Boots from Anthropologie, they added a pop of color to contrast the brown and the gray, and carried my trusty Louis Vuitton Speedy Bag — that is lightweight, classic and super versatile and roomy.
I hope this outfit inspires you to put together some easy looks from your wardrobe! And again, if you don’t have the ingredients I mentioned, they are definitely worth putting on your shopping list as they will come in handy when building other looks, stay tuned for more ideas using them, coming soon!
Would love to see if you end up playing around with this outfit formula, please share your looks on Instagram using #ModnitsaStyle, and I’ll repost on my Insta Stories!
