Bohemian Romance Chic for Mother’s Day
I never thought of myself as a boho girl, but not too long ago, a brand stole my heart and made me fall in love with all things pink, frilly and flow-y. This brand has a fun name – Loveshackfancy. On the about page of their site, the first sentence reads “She’s a dreamer, a lover, elegantly ethereal and romantic at heart…”. I think most women can identify with a part of this message – and what resonates the most with me is a vision of elegant, romantic and ethereal combined.
Full disclosure – this brand wasn’t really on my radar until last Summer. Last July, one of my clients wanted to try a few of their dresses on during our shopping appointment at Moda Operandi – which made me interested in checking them out further as I noticed how well-constructed and intricate the pieces were. I started to look at their designs more closely – separating them from the overall bohemian feel that the brand can strike with at first if you follow them on Instagram. As the time went on, I got more and more drawn in by their color palettes, intricate details and the world they so masterfully create that makes me feel like a 7-year-old again, playing with my grandmothers ribbons and fabric, creating one-of-a-kind masterpieces for my dolls, having tea from pretty gold-rimmed cups and lounging under a big sun-shaded tree, re-reading my favorite book.
What appeals most to me about the above is that LSF brings this world to grown-ups and makes it accessible, desirable and very Parisian-chic inspired and sophisticated. I’m finding myself mentally escaping to beautiful Ritz-Carlton Hotel Rooms a la Marie Antoinette, dreaming of frolicking in Jardins du Luxembourg in mid-summer warmth, and having picnics in the English countryside.
Needless to say, their Priya Dress in lace and swiss dots seemed like the perfect Mother’s Day outfit this year as it embodied femininity and softness – and I was so happy we got to capture these beautiful moments as a family.
I styled this dress – which comes with a slip but can be worn without – with my new Vionic Rosie Heeled Sandals and Nordstrom Woven Rattan Canteen Bag. These shoes go with literally everything as they are neutral and the heels are very stable and comfortable. And who can pass up a beach-y circle bag for Spring/Summer? Great wardrobe staple!
As there are so many designs I love from LSF, I curated some similar dresses to Priya to share with you that I’m lusting after- which can draw you into an almost ethereal alternate universe they create to get lost in color, freedom and romance.
Hope this inspires you to check them out, and try out some for yourself – and who knows what kind of beauty that can attract into your universe 😉
